Harry Ormiston’s practice encompasses a broad variety of civil litigation and dispute resolution matters from insurance and subrogation to transportation and administrative law.
Background
Harry was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2018 and became a member of the Alberta Bar in 2024. Prior to joining Code Hunter in 2025, Harry practiced in British Columbia and worked as a litigation associate at a leading maritime law firm in Vancouver, BC. His experience primarily includes conduct of civil trials in the areas of maritime law, tort law and insurance defence as well as onboard emergency response for vessel owners following marine casualty events. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Federal Court of Canada.
Harry obtained his J.D. and L.L.M. from Bond University in Australia and achieved Executive Dean’s List for academic excellence in 2015.
